# PLA vs PETG

Polymaker Polylite PLA. Print at 190–230 °C (374–446 °F) nozzle, 25–60 °C (77–140 °F) bed. Dry 6 h at 55 °C (131 °F) if it's been open. Listed speed 40–60 mm/s.

Polymaker Polylite PETG. Print at 220–250 °C (428–482 °F) nozzle, 70–90 °C (158–194 °F) bed. Dry 6 h at 65 °C (149 °F) if it's been open.

## How to read this pair

Nozzle, bed, and drying in the table are the catalog cells for these two Polymaker rows. Enclosure required is blank on both, so this page does not mark either spool as enclosure-required. Outdoor UV is not a column. The outdoor guide ranks ASA for sun, PETG as the cheaper fallback, and PLA as the material that softens outside. That ranking is community process, not a UV-hours test on these spools. Toughness is not a stored test here. PolyLite PLA’s page lists glass transition 61 °C (142 °F) and heat deflection 60 °C (140 °F) at 0.45 MPa. PolyLite PETG does not list glass transition, heat deflection, or impact.
