What they are for
Prusa names two uses. One is large-format pellet printing, also called fused granular fabrication (FGF), which prints from pellets instead of filament. The other is lab and education work: mix the natural pellets with a masterbatch, or extrude an experimental 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm filament on a desktop extruder.
In a comment on that post dated 14 October 2026, Prusa community manager Tommy_Prusa3D wrote that PLA, PETG, and ASA are clear resins for scientific use, with no additives, so a lab can add its own. PC Blend is the full Prusament mixture, additives included. The comment points to the safety data sheet for more detail. This page does not copy an SDS.
